Dear Diary,

I was too hasty before. Who am I to doubt this love? He’s been so good to me, so kind. I spoke with his sister regarding my tense relationship with her brother. The family has a dark and complicated past, it leads him to be distant and moody. It leads lady Gertrude to be cautious and anxious to protect her family. They want what’s best for me and the children. I’m always overthinking things! I’m glad I have others to confide in. they advised I not talk to my sister about my woes too much as she is likely jealous. “She is nothing but a bakers wife” that statement from Lady Gertrude stung, but perhaps she was right.
